ADEFUA’s Odunde Fest returns to Seattle from October 23 to 25, 2026, as an African harvest celebration built around the theme “Stone Soup: Unity in the Community.” The weekend brings together cultural arts, storytelling, music, poetry and dance. An African marketplace opens each day, with vendors offering art, clothing, food and other goods.
Friday includes a film about ADEFUA’s legacy, followed by African drumming and dance workshops. Saturday features the Stone Soup performance, a story of neighbors contributing their own cultural traditions to a communal meal. Sunday brings another film screening and community drumming and dance workshops. The organizer’s schedule lists the marketplace as open from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. on all three days.
