SL Fashion Design by Sifa Love is a USA-based fashion design and dressmaking house with all women in mind. No matter what shape, size, or age, every woman deserves to feel beautiful — the studio gives women the opportunity to look fashionable, from haute couture to sur mesure (made-to-measure) creations.

Services

Wedding dresses (traditional African, contemporary white, custom bridal gowns, wedding guest dresses, and bride-and-groom wedding combos), custom prom and graduation gowns, special occasion dresses (evening gowns, gala, church, birthday, and red-carpet wear), one-of-a-kind custom fashion design, alterations, African dresses in ankara and other fabrics, fashion design consultations, and sewing classes ($75/hour with all machines, equipment, and materials provided; 10% off when you bring a friend).

About Sifa Love

Sifa Love is a Congolese-born fashion designer (Democratic Republic of Congo) who founded SL Fashion Design in 2007. Her work has been showcased at DC Fashion Week, African Fashion Week DC, and the Southern African reunion fashion show in Washington, DC, and she has appeared with her models on VOA News. With more than 10,000 followers, she is known for intricate hand-beading and detail on custom gowns.

Appointments

All services are by appointment only. Hours: Monday–Friday 9am–9pm, Saturday 9am–5pm, Sunday 12–5pm. Consultation fees: $50 per 30 minutes, $100 per hour, $200 per 2 hours (non-refundable; PayPal and CashApp accepted).
